In session 3 I want to demonstrate a digital learning object for participants. The object I have selected is one of the Lights, Camera, Action series. I am running a film project and want to do an online update session for teachers in this project after they have attended some f2f PD.I have attached the file below.

There is an upload limit of 2mb in any one page of the wetpaint wiki - a warning will be given if the file is too large. PowerPoint slides are fine and probably better if they are saved as .ppt rather than .pptx.

If files are still too large, try uploading them to SlideShare and then embedding the code for them on the virtual lesson page. 1. Add a widget 2. Select Other 3. Paste in code 4. Save
Hope this helps.

As you begin to add your idea here you may want to explore them more deeply and ask relevant questions about how to make the best use of your ideas. You may also want to give some feedback to their authors and to get some feedback on yours. This is the place to do it.
Thanks Marion for your idea - you are first to upload your icebreaker idea and submit two attached files - congratulations. You will be our featured Moderator for now. Take a look at the Spotlight page.

I have been moderating and training other moderators in Elluminate Live for over 5 years now and I find it to be the best tool for conducting virtual classrooms. I can upload powerpoint slides, share my desktop applications, take participants on a web tour, chat to them in real time with voice and text and I can engage them for an hour or so in an interactive classroom. The sessions are often recorded - enabling the whole session to be viewed again or by those who missed it.
I have my own free Elluminate V Room which gives me all functionality (except for recording) for 3 people simultaneously - this is great for ementoring and small group meetings. You too can get one at: http://www.elluminate.com/vroom/index.jsp
Do you need assistance with planning, managing or running virtual classrooms in Elluminate? Please contact me at: coachcarole2007@gmail.com

I agree Carole! Elluminate is an excellent tool for enabling learners to actively engage in 'real time' online learning. As an educator I love the way in which it allows to appeal simultaneously to different learning styles; the voice for auditory learners, text for the reflective learner and the whiteboard for the viusal learner.
By capturing the session I have proof of engagement along with the ability to review materials. Malcolm

I thought I would begin this thread by advising you on the support I can offer for you and your colleagues in the use of Elluminate Live for your meetings, tutorials and conferences.
My Elluminate Live moderation skills are at a high level, having been mentored by Jonathon Finkelstein himself , in Canada, and our own Michael Coghlan in SA.
I can show you how to use the Elluminate tools to take advantage of this virtual classroom software for your scheduled events:
* uploading powerpoints and other media * managing your event for smooth content and engaging interactions * planning, tracking, moderating & saving conversations in the chat pod * planning interactive use of the whiteboard, shared applications, quiz, and web tour * advising on the best preparation for a live session * assisting in the scheduling of the event using the administration system
Why not give me a call if interested: 0260208337 or 0414 532785
